LAGO at the 2nd Anti-FinTer Policy Seminar in Brussels
The LAGO project was present at the 2nd Anti-FinTer Policy Seminar in Brussels on October 26, 2023.
The seminar focused on four main areas: providing law enforcement with the right tools, improving access to knowledge and data, and boosting cooperation among law enforcement agencies. These areas are essential for tackling the challenges of terrorist financing, especially with the rise of new technologies. The seminar was an opportunity for sharing ideas and emphasised the importance of working together to manage the complexities of terrorist financing.
Nikos Peppes from partner ICCS represented the LAGO project and contributed to the discussions, particularly in the 'Access to Data' session, where he shared insights from the LAGO research. A panel discussion that followed this added insightful viewpoints to the discussion and encouraged active participation and idea sharing among the attendees.
As we continue our work, we remain focused on contributing to a safer society, and the Anti-FinTer Policy Seminar provided an excellent opportunity for LAGO to share its work and collaborate with others in the field.
