The LAGO project was presented at the Research and Innovation Symposium for European Security and Defence (RISE-SD) in Chalkidiki, Greece, from October 16–17, 2024.

On the first day of the event, Project Coordinator Ernesto La Mattina of ENG participated in the session on "FCT Research Data & Technologies Uptake", discussing LAGO’s approach to laying the foundation for a trusted European FCT Research Data Ecosystem. Later on that day, he joined the panel discussion on "European Research and Innovation for Security: Moving forward while looking back," alongside experts from DG HOME, CENTRIC, and CEA-List.

On the second and final day of the RISE-SD 2024 event, Ernesto and colleague Emmanouil Daskalakis from partner ICCS - NTUA presented LAGO's innovative approach to building a trusted European Research Data Ecosystem (RDE) for the fight against crime and terrorism (FCT). By establishing a comprehensive reference architecture and ensuring high data quality, LAGO is providing the foundation for trustworthy AI-driven research while complying with EU legal, ethical, and security standards.
