LAGO at the Projects to Policy Seminar in Brussels

The Projects to Policy Seminar, organised by the European Research Executive Agency (REA) and the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME), took place from June 25th to 26th in Brussels.

The event provided a platform for direct interaction between project coordinators and policymakers, facilitating feedback on project activities and outputs, supporting evidence-based policymaking, and tracking project impacts.

With 170 registered participants, the seminar featured breakout sessions focused on themes such as Fighting Crime and Terrorism (FCT), Critical Infrastructure (INFRA), Strengthened Security Research and Innovation (SSRI), Disaster-Resilient Societies (DRS), and Border Management (BM). These sessions aimed to raise awareness among relevant policy directorates-general about new projects and offer guidance on policy-related outputs.

On the first day, representatives of the LAGO project—April Cantor-Murray from CENTRIC, Dr Daniel Camara from FRMOI, and Dr Mark van Staalduinen from CFLW—contributed to the session on fighting crime and terrorism by discussing the FCT RDE roadmap vision.

We extend our thanks to the organisers for this valuable opportunity and look forward to future events.
