LAGO Workshop in Brussels

LAGO Workshop in Brussels

On 25 February 2025, the LAGO project hosted a collaborative workshop in Brussels, bringing together law enforcement, researchers, policymakers, and industry experts to shape the future of secure research data governance in the fight against crime and terrorism.

This workshop was an opportunity to foster collaboration between LAGO and its sibling projects—STARLIGHT, TESSERA, and MULTIRATE—alongside special guests from DG HOME.

Project Coordinator Ernesto La Mattina of Engineering Group opened the workshop. This was followed by a discussion on the LAGO Research Data Ecosystem, with insights from representatives of DG HOME, STARLIGHT, and TESSERA.

The afternoon sessions focused on sustainability in research data governance, featuring contributions from DG HOME and law enforcement experts. The final session, "From Data to Deployment," explored the role of AI in law enforcement and strategies for sustainable and legally compliant research.

We thank CEA-List for hosting the event and all speakers and participants for their valuable contributions.
